Photoshop Masking
This tutorial will focus on masking and how to use the layers pallet to mask.
1. First, open a new image. The size doesn't matter for this tutorial
2. Select the Rectangle Tool and draw a square on your new document. --> Right click the new layer --> select layer properties and name it "Border"

2. Go --> Layer --> Rasterize --> Shape.
3.Go --> Select --> Load selection --> Click Ok
4. Go --> Select again --> Modify --> Contract

5. Name this layer "Mask" Go back to your new selection and --> Right Click --> Fill (The color doesn't matter.
6. Open an image of your choice --> Ctrl C or (Cut)
7. Ctrl V on your tutorial image.
This Gives us an image to put inside the mask.

8. This is were the magic happens!

9. Hold --> Alt and drag cursor up towards the image layer we just paste over the mask layer until you see the mask icon appear. Then Click

Your new image will only appear the size of the mask layer we created earlier. You can now move the image around inside the masked layer and resize to whatever you desire.

9. Add a little drop shadow to your "border" layer and you will have a nice looking image.
